Tired of the same old science fair projects? Do you want your students to enter a science competition that allows students to work as a team and solve real-world problems? Then Exploravision is for you! Exploravision, sponsored by Toshiba and the National Science Teacher Association, is the world’s largest K-12 STEM scholarship competition, challenging students to brainstorm and create inspiring technology and science projects. You will learn how to manage teams of 2-4 students and enable them to research an invention that currently exists and update it twenty years into the future. With your guidance students will: • create a historical timeline • brainstorm ways how that technology could evolve in 20 years • analyze the consequences of their future technology and scientific breakthroughs necessary to achieve it • construct a prototype of their invention • create 5 sample web pages to be submitted for entry So put away the trifolds, roll up your sleeves, and get ready to solve some real-world problems with Exploravision!
